Beige, Blue, And Red Leather Hides

JUST HIDES takes pride in the variety of grains and colors that we provide to our customers.  We offer a wide range of hides that encompasses perforated and embossments.  Some of the grains that we offer are smooth, coarse, and pebbled.  There are thirty-four alluring colors that can be used for a multitude of projects.  Is there a color you want that we do not have?  Let us know, and we can make a special order with the Pantone codes you provide.  Every piece of leather is unique, there are no two pieces of leather that are the same, and they have their own unique characteristics.  In this blog, we will talk about the previously featured hides and the currently featured hide.

Mid Beige

Mid Beige was our featured hide in August, highlighting the middle of the summer.  This hide is not smooth; it is coarse and has large pebbling.  This means if you run your hand down the hide, you would feel the raised pebbling.  Mid Beige is chrome leather; when produced, it uses chemicals, salts, and acids.  It’s a quick process and leaves the hides looking light blue.  You will often hear it referred to as “wet blue”.  Chrome leathers are often used in automobiles but are also worthwhile on other consumer projects.  The color Beige often portrays warmth.  Warm atmospheres encourage caring, empathetic, and inviting personality traits.  According to the Art of Manliness, one of the basic human needs is to be understood and acknowledged, and this warm color can fill that need.  If you are looking to portray this on your project, this is the perfect color choice.

Night Blue

Night Blue was the September feature for JUST HIDES. Unlike the Mid Beige, Night Blue has a fine grain and a supple smooth finish.  The Night Blue is also a chrome piece of leather.  Chrome leather is often known as “wet blue” due to imparting the pale blue color on the skins.  The deep color of the Night Blue evokes personality traits of knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.  Night Blue is an excellent choice for many professional leather pieces.  A great example of its use would be on a desk or chair in a study or office to give your space/items an air of sophistication.

Serious Red

October and November’s featured hide is the Serious Red hide.  This deep ruby red Nappa leather is seriously smooth, and a Nappa grain is much softer than other leathers.  The Serious Red is chrome-free leather.  Chrome-free leather is Aldehyde tanning, which prevents the hide from rotting.  Chrome-free tanning uses natural tannins, which have no negative impact during the process on the environment.  The chrome-free leather is known as “wet white” due to the pale cream color imparted onto the skins.  The personality that’s demonstrated with this ruby red is passion, wealth, prosperity, and courage.  This leather would look great as the frame of a mirror or even as wall panels.

There are a wide variety of finishes and colors for any project you may have.  Check us out and if you have any questions contact us at Help@JUSTHIDES.com.  If you are interested in a custom order, contact us with the Pantone code.
